We play table tennis every Friday from 6:00 to 9:45 PM and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the James Kenney Recreation Center, 1720 Eighth Street in Berkeley. Friday play is a structured round robin. Saturday is for training and open play. 

For the Friday Round Robin, players must sign up by 6:50 pm, or call the late line (below) by 6:35 pm.  If you are a new player, you cannot use the late line (see below) the first time.  If you know your USATT rating, or have a rating from another club, you can come as late as 6:45pm.  If you do not know your rating, we'll give you a starting rating, but you need to show up at 6:15 so we can do this properly.

We also have a Training Program for juniors and adults on Saturdays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Space is limited and special fees are required. Please contact our club coach Bunny Lee (BL2100comcast.net) if you are interested.
 

On Fridays, play is a formal round robin format that is based on the players' skill levels and their weekly performance. The fee is $5 for adults and $3 for juniors (16 and under) per Friday.

To participate, you need to show up no later than 6:50 PM OR call the Cell Phone Reservation Number:  (510) 587-3388 before 6:35 PM. If you call this latecomer's number, please make sure to pronounce your first AND last name clearly. For non-native English speakers it is recommended to repeat their full name at least twice. We do not guarantee spots in our Round Robin tournament to latecomers who only left undecipherable messages. If you call to reserve a spot, please be sure to show up. No shows will be scored as default losses.

Please show up on time as we are time limited and must stop play by 9:45PM.

We hope to get openings for additional evenings in the future if we show that we are responsible guests and generate enough interest.

We are guests of the City of Berkeley and they have given us a cut rate for an excellent facility (gym with wood floor and good lighting) that holds 20 tables!!!

But, we need to be very responsible and friendly and promote the game to the community. That means all of us welcoming newcomers at all levels, giving them a friendly greeting and a table to play.

It is open membership. On this mailing list we send out notifications when new results are posted to the website, information about holiday closures and other club-related information. It is usually no more than 1-3 messages per week.
