Welcome to the Berkeley Table Tennis Club
- November 28th (Friday)
We're a group of people who love table tennis. We play a round robin tournament every Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:45 PM, and we have a training program and open play every Saturday evening from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. We're very fortunate to call the James Kenney Recreation Center our home.
Want to play?
You're in luck! We're an open club that's always accepting new members. The following table should give you a good idea of the ways to let us know you'll be competing on Friday night:
|Who are you?||When to arrive|
|A new member without a rating||Before 6:15 PM, so we can determine your rating before the evening's round robin.|
|A new member with a USATT or other club rating||Before 6:45 PM, since your rating has already been determined (we still need about 5 minutes to enter you into our system).|
|A returning member arriving on-time||Before 6:50 PM.|
|A returning member arriving late||You need to call or send a text message to the late line on the day of the round robin tournament before 6:45 PM. The late line phone number is 510-926-6913. Text messages are preferred but a voicemail message is also fine. When leaving a voicemail, please speak your name slowly and clearly.|
What are the fees?
The fee to play is $5.00 for adults (18 and older) and $3.00 for juniors (17 and younger) and seniors (65 and over), per day.
If you have a BTTC or USATT rating of over 2,300, there is no fee for the Friday round robin.
Want to stay up-to-date?
We have a Yahoo! Group that acts as our newsletter. We post round robin results, holiday closures and general club-related information to the group. If you'd like to, feel free to join! You can unsubscribe from the group at any time.
Need more pong?
The Cal Berkeley Table Tennis Club is open 7 days per week for students, staff and faculty, and the Alameda Table Tennis Center and iTT Albany (also open every day) are open to the public and are a short drive from Berkeley.
Check out our guestbook
Our guestbook offers ways for players to chat amongst themselves about upcoming round robins, tournaments, or just table tennis in general. Feel free to check it out, and contribute as you'd like!
